❤️ The Chain of Survival: Every Second Counts! ❤️
By Leadership Team
July 27, 2026
When someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, survival depends on a series of lifesaving actions known as the Chain of Survival: ⛓️ 1. Early Recognition & Call 9-1-1 Recognize the emergency and activate the EMS system immediately. 🫀 2. Early CPR High-quality chest compressions keep oxygen-rich blood flowing to the brain and vital organs until help arrives. ⚡ 3. Rapid Defibrillation (AED) Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) within the first few minutes can dramatically increase the chance of survival. 🚑 4. Advanced Life Support Paramedics provide advanced airway management, medications, and other critical interventions on scene and during transport. 🏥 5. Post–Cardiac Arrest Care Specialized hospital treatment gives patients the best chance for recovery and a meaningful return to their families. 💙 You can be the strongest link in the Chain of Survival. Learn CPR, know where the nearest AED is located, and never hesitate to call 9-1-1. Your actions could save a life.
