Emergency medical calls involve much more than a few providers responding to help. The process begins when someone decides to become an emergency medical technician. An entire team supports this individual through training to reach the EMT level.
Teamwork continues as clinical education teams provide ongoing, evidence-based training to keep providers’ skills current. Leadership teams offer guidance and support, while law enforcement and fire service partners work alongside medical personnel. It is through the efforts of all these teams working together that the highest level of care can be achieved.
