Today at 14:47 hours an Outside Gas Leak was dispatched to the 100 block of Davis Road in Willistown. Chief and Deputy 4 arrived to find a landscaping truck that struck the piping of an underground propane tank. The tank piping was broken off which caused a leak. Malvern units attempted to secure the leak but were unable to and at this point, a tanker was requested from Station 3 (Paoli) and units from Station 15 (Hazmat Team).

Crews stood by until we were able to figure out who managed the propane tank. Fire crews along with Hazmat reps were setting up for a flare-off, when a company rep was able to change out the broken piece and the incident was cleared.

No injuries were reported.

Thanks to Paoli Fire Squad 3 for covering our local during the duration of the incident.
