Afternoon Lawnmower Fire

Station 4 was dispatched this afternoon for a vehicle fire in the unit block of Vernon Lane in Willistown Acres.
Chief 4 responded and was advised of a riding mower on fire in the rear yard. Chief 4 arrived to find a mower on fire extending to the fence line. Engine and Deputy 4 arrived, and crews stretched a handline and extinguished the fire. Tanker 4 arrived and stood by.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews restored hoses and cleared the incident.
